Seven Oaks Fine Jewelers is a family-owned and operated jewelry store in St George, Utah. It is named after the founder, Shane Oaks. He and his wife, Tricia, have 5 children, making them a family of 7 – hence, “Seven Oaks”. They sell everything from custom engagement rings to Alex & Ani Bracelets. They opened their doors in 2007, with their first location in Vernal, Utah. The family decided to move their baseball-obsessed family to St George to allow their boys more opportunities to play competitive baseball. After falling in love with the area, they decided to open a second location in St George in 2014. Seven Oaks Fine Jewelers is the only jewelry store in Southern Utah who makes their custom jewelry in-house. Having an in-house jeweler cuts out the middle man, and allows you to create your dream ring for the same price as something off the shelf. Seven Oaks also offers custom laser engraving on jewelry, golf clubs, electronics, and other various items. Shane Oaks, as well as his entire sales team, values customer service over any other aspect of a transaction. He believes in making all of his clients feel like family.

Root for Kids, formerly know as The Learning Center for Families was developed under a grant to serve infants and toddlers with disabilities in Washington County, Utah. The grant was originally funded by the Utah Department of Health, Division of Family Health Services. Root for Kids continues to grow and has provided over 15,000 families in Washington County and the Arizona strip with the extra support they need. With the investment from the community and generous donors, Root for Kids was able to expand its services and help more families than ever before. They strive to ensure that every child in the community has the skills they need to excel in school and in life. Research has shown that the years from prenatal development through 36 months of age provide a window of opportunity for enriching infant/toddler development that can provide lifelong positive outcomes. But for many infants and toddlers, this crucial time can also be a period of heightened vulnerability due to stresses such as poor health, developmental complications, poverty and/or less than optimal home environments. Families who face these difficulties often need help navigating their challenges. Root for Kids offers several programs to ensure the success of our youngest, most vulnerable members of our community. Root for Kids was honored as the HVCC March 2019 Business of the Month.
