Drew & Julie Durrant, owned and operated Mack’s Inn Playhouse from May 2008 until September 2012. With the Durrant’s at the helm Mack’s Inn Playhouse became a destination for family friendly musicals spoofs for the Greater Yellowstone Area. They would perform 70 shows each summer and squeeze them all in between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
In the summer or 2012, long time friends and patrons, Rob and Sherri Dias, approached the Durrants about working with the students at Diamond Ranch Academy and opening a new dinner theater in Southern Utah. Rattlin’ D Playhouse was born. Now all they needed was a stage! November 2013, the playhouse found a temporary home in the HURRICANE COMMUNITY CENTER and “My Big Fat Southern Utah Christmas” opened November 29th, 2013. Since then the Playhouse has produced over 15 musical spoofs. In March 2014, the Playhouse moved into it’s permanent home located on the beautiful campus of Diamond Ranch Academy.
Rattlin’ D Playhouse will produce 2 productions each year; a musical spoof for Christmas and a laugh out loud variety show in February. The Playhouse is unique in that a portion of the profits are placed in a “Young Performing Artist” scholarship fund for current and former students at Diamond Ranch Academy.
BUT WAIT….THERE’S MORE!!
In 2019, a BRAND NEW facility was constructed in Island Park, Idaho and is home to Yellowstone Playhouse.
Performances run from Memorial Day through Labor Day each summer.
Each summer they entertain 20,000+ patrons.
“We look forward to entertaining you!”
