Diamond G Ranches, with seven locations sprawled over 250,000 acres in Washington and Iron counties in Southern Utah, with Zion National Park as a backdrop serves as home to Steve and Cyndi’s contracted livestock. Ranging in elevation from 3,400 to 12,000 feet, the animals are free to roam, allowing the rocky, rugged land to keep them in prime rodeo condition. The main Diamond G Ranch, headquartered in Toquerville, Utah, is where Steve and Cyndi Gilbert reside. Here they enjoy a comfortable way of life, sharing the wide open spaces with several of their best livestock, including White Magic. Another ranch located at Anderson Junction, about 3 miles wide and 17 miles long around the 1-15 corridor, is private and government land. The PRCA and PBR’s are the pinnacle of what Diamond G Ranch is all about – proving grounds for the back-breaking work that goes into breeding and raising the best bulls and horses available in the rodeo circuit. Diamond G stock has provided thousands of priceless memories and dozens of record-breaking wins – making for lots of happy cowboys. Popular venues for the Gilbert’s stock to perform include the Days of ’47 Rodeo in Salt Lake City, Utah; San Bernardino Sheriff’s Posse Rodeo, Temecula, Anaheim, San Dimas, and Norco, California; Phoenix, Arizona; Reno and Las Vegas, Nevada; Helldorado WNFR & PBR; San Antonio and Houston, Texas; Jordan, Vernal, Coalville, Heber City, and Ogden in their home state of Utah; Denver, Colorado and even farther across state lines in the past at Rapid City, South Dakota, Cheyenne, Wyoming, Mollalla, Oregon, Ellensburg and Seattle, Washington, and Portland, Oregon among others nationwide. The Gilbert’s’ goal remains the same as it has always been – to put on a professionally run rodeo, filled with lots of action – all done in two hours.
Because Animals Matter (BAM) is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to reducing animal abuse and neglect through education. All BAM programs and services are supported through the generosity of their contributors and dedicated volunteers. They do not receive federal, state, or local government funding. BAM operates as a network of foster homes to assist animals in need of finding their forever homes and as a network of volunteers to support community programs focused on building strong humane relationships between people and their pets. There are many ways to help the animals, but without financial support, BAM would not be able to assist so many animals and the people who love them. If you love animals (and who doesn’t), please consider making a monetary donation or become a volunteer. It’s a FEEL GOOD thing to do.
